Give Arghya only with water mixed with turmeric. Do not use roli or milk at all. In this fast, one should not eat food on the tenth night. Lord Krishna is worshipped early in the morning on Ekadashi. Only fruits are offered during this fast. Taking a dip in the water at holy places on this Ekadashi is considered auspicious. By doing this all the defects are eliminated and the desired boon is obtained.

All the gods went to Lord Shiva with this problem. Then Lord Shiva ordered him to go to Lord Vishnu in Kshirsagar and ask him for help.

All the deities went to Shri Vishnu and told their woes. Lord Vishnu went to the battlefield and started the battle with the demon Muru. It is said that this war lasted for ten thousand years. All Daitya Sen was killed but Muru did not give up and continued to fight with Shri Vishnu even after being injured. When Lord Vishnu saw Muru in a wounded condition, he went to rest in the cave named Hemavati of Badrikashram.

When Lord Vishnu was in Yoga Nidra. Muru followed them and reached there. As soon as he tried to kill the Lord, a beam of light was generated there. Ekadashi Devi appeared from that beam and that goddess killed Muru Asura.

She was born from the body of Goddess Shri Vishnu. Goddess Ekadashi is considered one of the special powers of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the protective powers of Lord Vishnu. Giving a boon to that goddess, Lord Vishnu said that you will be helpful in bringing those who are trapped in illusion to me. The devotees who worship you will always be happy and prosperous. it is said. Since then she is worshipped as Ekadashi Devi.
